This folding pull-saw, referred to as “The Butterfly Saw,” derives its name from the iconic butterfly knife, which utilizes its handles to protect the blade when not in use. Mirroring the functionality of the butterfly knife, this saw can be opened and closed with just one hand.

Engineered with SK85 Japanese Steel the blade is extremely sharp and rust resistant. Though highly effective in woodworking, cabinet making, and trim applications, this saw really shines on the jobsite! Its folding handles and lightweight construction are specifically designed with the carpenters, craftsmen, and tradespeople in mind.

The blade measures 8.25 inches (210 mm) in length, and the tool extends to 18.5 inches (474 mm) when fully opened. When folded, it is 9 inches long, making it sufficiently compact to fit into a pocket, tool belt, or bag without sacrificing cutting efficiency. For those frequently wearing tool belts, considerations such as weight, size, and performance are paramount, and this saw was built with those considerations in mind.

Featuring 14 TPI impulse-hardened crosscut teeth and 8 TPI rip-teeth, this saw has been meticulously engineered to excel in a variety of materials, including softwoods like pine, hardwoods such as maple and oak, and even plastics. Its deep tooth gullets and specialized tooth geometry prevent clogging and allow the saw to cut fast and accurately in even thicker dimensional lumber. In the woodshop, this saw is ideal for dimensioning small to medium stock and cutting medium-sized joinery in both soft and hard woods.
