Japanese Bent Neck Trowel Chisel. Kote Nomi. Laminated Shirogami No.2 White Paper Steel. Use to Pair Grooves, Dadoes, Sliding Dovetails, Rabbets, Mortises, Tenons, Etc. Hand Forged in Japan.

The shape is what I was hoping for. It's a bit larger than I expected, which is okay. The biggest concern is that the hollow is only what appears to be just slightly less than a sixteenth of an inch from the front edge. I frequently sharpen my tools and I feel like this is going to have a pretty limited life span before I remove enough material to hit the hollow.
The Chisel is fantastic; and really a joy for more precision work.
FYI: the box it came in was destroyed during the shipment. not a big deal but just making you aware for future shipments.
😎👍
The tool itself is nice, but other factors ruined the impression and make it feel cheap. The sticker was crooked and the box is too small! How do you spend so much effort to make a nice box for the chisel and not make it long enough to hold it?!? It is literally too short. It cannot fit in the box unless the middle supports are broken. Which I guess is why it arrived with the middle supports broken. You have such a nice tool and you’re charging a premium for it. Everything else about the experience seemsshoddy and like no one actually cared. Disappointing!
The Kote Nomi bent neck chisel feels great in the hand and is very well made. The hand forged chisel comes nicely sharpened, but also takes a very good edge when re-sharpened. I highly recommend getting one for your shop!!!
