3, 6, 12 & 25mm chisels are outstanding. Stickers on the handles are a bit cheap and applied sloppily but easy enough to remove.
I expected some setup would be needed but the edge was not even square requiring me to square it up which requires gently grinding material away. Not particularly happy about the amount that had to be grounded off to square it given the design of the back of the chisel and the need to further flaten the back to retain a proper surface for cutting. The effort needed isn't the issue. But the amount of material removed causes concern for the longevity of the tool and possilbly the need to hollow out the backside more sooner than later to maintain the proper rear polished profile. This was a test purchase to give the brand a try and I most likely will not purchase any additional chisels based on this experience.
Once properly setup it is working quite well and offers very precise well controlled cuts. But I was hoping for more of a forever tool, and while the basice design is sound, the lack of some minimal prep before honing out the backside is quite dissappointing.
Beautifully made bench chisel. The chisel came packaged and protected well, and it also arrived on time.
I bought 4 chisels recently. All but one of them have loose ferrules and each one is out of square. I expected they would need to be sharpened upon arrival but I have to say the overall attention to detail on these chisels is definitely dissatisfying.
