Double-edge pull saw for flush cutting. No set to teeth. Won’t scratch wood surface. For soft and hard woods.
This saw is made for when you need to cut a dowel, tenon, wedge, trim, or other component flush to an adjacent surface. Both edges on the saw have crosscut teeth, one edge is designed for hardwoods the other is better suited for softwoods.
Unlike most saws this saw does not have any “set” to the teeth. “Set” is when the teeth are slightly bent out from the blade to create a kerf wider than the blade. This is needed to prevent the blade from binding in the cut and important on most saws. However, “set” causes scratching to the surface of wood when trying to flush cut.
With no set to the teeth and a thin flexible blade the saw can be held flat to one surface and cut the protruding competent perfectly flush, without scratching or marring the flat surface of the wood.
The high-grade SK85 Japanese tool steel blade is 150mm (6”) long. The handle made of Beech is stained a rich mahogany color and shaped for maximum comfort and control. Premium brass hardware secures the 0.015” blade to handle and allows for easy blade replacement.

I’m no expert with the flush cut saw, seeing how I’ve never used one before I got this one. So I think I’m still in the learning phase. But my first impression is I really like it. I was wondering if it could be a little bit thicker because it tends to bind and bend a little more than I expected. What else maybe a little bit longer but I don’t know if they’re supposed to be a little bit longer. I was cutting the ends of some Douglas fur. That was about 2“ x 3“. It took a while, but the ends are flashing. It didn’t leave any marks on the bench itself. I imagine as I use it more. I’ll get better with it. Thanks.
The saw I have needed for years, but didn't know it!
Very sharp
Love it, Super sharp and doesn't scratch the surface of the wood
I could tell instantly that this saw would perform exactly as I needed it to. No more surface scratching while trying mow down protruding pegs, etc. Perfect! Thanks for a great tool.
